Great location, good hotel for price, the bed is comfortable to sleep on and the AC in the room is very good at cooling the room fast
However the walls are very thin and you’ll hear all the guests in the rooms around you doing the deed and being very loud, the noise from other guests and the birds in the morning was a bit of an issue.
The bathroom is very small but the water pressure in the shower is amazing, the room is spacious with a closet, a fridge, and a hot water kettle.
However for the price and location it’s a great hotel, won’t visit it again but great for a short stay, I stayed for 2 nights and I’m not complaining that much.
Loads of restaurants around and places to get food, 5 minutes walk away from a main road full of shops for shopping.
Would like to add one last thing, the bedding and the towels didn’t feel that clean.
So for the noise and cleanliness it gets 2 stars deducted.
I did not stay at this hotel but while traveling alone my phone died at midnight and the staff was sweet enough to call me a taxi. They stayed with me until it got there and made sure I was safe. Make sure you speak a bit of Italian if you stay here!! Thank you!!!!
I missed my flight! I got to stay at Hotel San Valentino July 29-31,2023. Beautiful room with a view of a church dome.
Bathroom is good everything functioning well and very clean. It looks very updated and newly remodeled. Airconditioning is fine bed looks good. I’m a sheet person. Sheets are perfect crisp and smells clean , thick good quality cotton. Yasss! And I’m alone…🤣 I love it! Room is very clean and perfect for me. Love the iron sculpture of general Adriano wearing Versace outfit right outside my door. Fantastic sculptures throughout the building. Quiet room perhaps because I’m at the end corner on the 4rth floor. Wifi works I didn’t have any problems.
I chose this hotel for its quiet neighborhood not a lot of tourist traffic even though it’s very close to the Vatican. It’s in one of those forgotten street only locals here.
Transportations can’t beat it just around the corner is the Lepanto metro station not even 5 minutes walk. Restaurants in this neighborhood is very reasonable and low key very comfortable I had some really good ones. But the place that I love for Oso buco was closed on Sunday 🤯 I ate at Trastevere area last night supposed to be lots of new good restaurants, trendy but a waste of time they cater more to the tourist now. food is not good and not cheap anymore too. Maybe it was good 5 or 6 years ago. Ok. Love the hotel I’m surprised it’s inexpensive perhaps it suffered from the bad reviews during dinosaurs time. Good thing I didn’t read those reviews before I booked I was stressed out at the airport gotta have a hotel pronto missed my flight 🤩💕 2 more days in Rome! What a better place to get stuck.
Oh! The reception they can smile a little and make a little effort to make one feel at ease perhaps a gentle female receptionist. With that said I could say they’re functional they connected me to my airport shuttle that totally helped me out and my wake up call in the morning. I like the guy on the night shift who doesn’t speak English but very kind. I asked him for recommendations with my broken up Italian and he hooked me up for directions and a place to eat when I asked him what I want to eat. In early morning, he helped me out to call a taxi and brought my luggage out and waited for the taxi with me outside. I felt bad I forgot to give him a tip I was stressed out to make my airport shuttle. Next time I won’t forget your tip when I come back. I’ll be back again for longer stay next time.
Room smelled like cigar smoke and staff acts like you are a burden even just checking in, too busy looking at their phones. Constant noise from doors slamming and paper thin walls, old furniture with a bed as hard as cement.
You have to leave your key every time you exit the hotel (really?!)
Blanket was in the closet and it smelled and was ancient. Paint was peeling off the walls around the AC unit and the chandelier was broken in 2 places.
This is a motel not a hotel in my opinion. I wouldn't pay more then 70 or 80 a night for this and even then only if all the other hotels are booked.
Location is decent and it has a mini fridge with working AC but that is about it. I don't have high standards but this was pretty bad.
This was not a good experience, especially not since we payed more than 700 Euro for 3 nights per person in May2023! Absurd if you see what you get. The room size was OK, yet the (bath)room was not clean, doors needed repair. Two persons from Reception desk were kind/receptive yet a smaller Asian looking man did not pay any attention to the guests and no nice greetings and no kind words or questions by checking out. No/bad English. All in all, I really missed the professionality and passion/pleasure of the staff of making this a pleasant and welcoming and communicative place. I would not recommend this place.
The worst hotel in Rome.
The employee is a lier. I helped my friend to put his luggage in the room and come out immediately but the employee didn’t allow me.
The boy said it is the hotel’s policy.
I ask him to show the policy but he could not.
Frankly speaking the location is fair, but the room is is smelling and old
This hotel is crazy, charging us £892 for two nights for a quadruple room. The space is so small that there is no place to stay. The sliding door of the bathroom is broken, and the refrigerator and air conditioner cannot be used. The whole room was filled with a foul smell. Staying here gave my friend skin allergies! very scary! Stay away from this hotel, I'm going to report them a scam!
Awesome location. Walking distance from a metro stop, Vatican City and the San Angelo castle. Room were clean and comfortable. Can’t beat the price. There is always someone in the front desk 24/7. They were always friendly.
